Painless Performance offers alternator backfeed diode kits for race car switch panels. In some cases, the GM 10SI and 12SI alternators backfeed through the regulator excitation wire—not allowing the engine to be shut off with the ignition switch. This diode, heat shrink, and butt-splice replacement kit lets you stop the backfeeding by installing it inline on the ignition switched wire going to the regulator's pin #1.Brand: Painless Performance
