Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) Mod-Twin 225 Maxx Xtreme twin-disc clutch kits are available in two styles—Sprung Race and Rigid Race—for a variety of applications, including many Subaru and Mitsubishi models. Here are descriptions of each:

* MOD-TWIN 225 XX SPRUNG RACE CLUTCH KIT:
Performs aggressive launches and smoother shifting in high-powered AWDs by combining twice the ceramic friction surfaces with an ultra-durable mono-drive sprung hub assembly in a completely modular design. Each diaphragm spring endures an exclusive 4-stage heat treating process, providing a consistent pedal feel requiring moderate effort. Puck-style friction plates with high-quality ceramic friction materials deliver high friction coefficient, superior heat capacity, and long clutch life. These plates uniformly transfer torque to a mono-drive sprung hub assembly which extends input shaft life and reduces driveline shock from torsional vibration. This kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, sprung mono-drive hub assembly, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool and pilot bearing (if needed).

* MOD-TWIN 225 XX RIGID RACE CLUTCH KIT:
Tackles aggressive launches and rapid shifting of high powered AWDs by combining twice the ceramic friction surfaces with a no-nonsense solid mono-drive hub in a completely modular design. Each diaphragm spring endures an exclusive 4-stage heat treating process, providing a consistent pedal feel requiring moderate effort. Puck-style friction plates with high-quality ceramic friction materials deliver high friction coefficient, superior heat capacity, and long clutch life. These plates uniformly transfer torque to a mono-drive chromoly steel hub which is heat treated for strength and durability, extending input shaft life with one continuous spline. The lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and trouble-free service. This kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, rigid mono-drive hub, floater, patented Monoloc Collar.
